My challenge to you here is read the article, watch the speech and think about what makes this speech so powerful. Then, I want you to write below the first two sentences of a speech you personally would give to students at your university graduation. Think of powerful first lines...like opening with "I'm here to tell you today, you are not special."
And let's end with McCullough's wonderful ending: "Selflessness is the best thing you can do for yourself. The sweetest joys of life, then, come only with the recognition that you're not special—because everyone is. Congratulations, good luck.
